Membership
If you would like to be part of the World Santa Challenge movement then please read the following information carefully before you join. There is an annual membership fee of $250, payable upon application. There are no other charges required.
WHAT DOES WSC MEMBERSHIP INVOLVE?
The founder members of the World Santa Challenge are keen to spread the excitement and unique atmosphere that Santa Fun Runs generate and by creating the World Santa Challenge and thereby introduce an element of competitive spirit between members.
The nominal annual membership fee will confirm your official WSC status and allow you to compete for one of three WSC annual titles. These are -
1. WORLD SANTA CHALLENGE TITLE
The main title is for the biggest number of participants in any Santa event anywhere in the world. The inaugural title was won by the Great Santa Run in Las Vegas (2009) with 8,868 runners.
The event must have all participants running in a full Santa suit, complete with beards!
2. THE GRINCH AWARD
This is for the smallest Santa Run each year and the current holder of this title is the Tasmania Santa Run with 127 participants. The criteria for participation is as the main title but for the fewest numbers.
3. THE KRIS KRINGLE TITLE
This category is for the Santa Run that demonstrates the biggest annual increase in participation. Numbers will be based on official recorded numbers as provided by each Member event.
HOW DO YOU JOIN THE WORLD SANTA CHALLENGE?
It is really straightforward. Just fill in the form below and forward your annual payment of $250 and we will do the rest. If you are quick and register ahead of the forthcoming December Santa Runs then you will feature on the WSC site and you can start getting in touch with other Member Santa Runs.
